By holding the stone with minimal support, it does not require a traditional "setting" or many "prongs," allowing the outline and presence of the natural stone itself to stand out. "Mother of Pearl" refers to the lustrous inner layer found inside the shell that nurtures pearls, known as nacre. It was named for being the "mother" of the pearl itself. It is mainly found in bivalves such as Akoya oysters and white-lipped pearl oysters, and is characterized by its iridescent sheen. Long used in decorative items and crafts, it has also been cherished as a symbol of motherhood and protection, along with its soft glow. Another appeal is that each piece has its own unique expression.

A form that works with the minimal structure

Node uses a unique structure with two prongs and a V-shaped groove on the inside. By fitting the faceted edge into that groove, it appears to be held by two prongs while increasing the contact area with the stone, achieving stable support. A structure pared down to the bare minimum. That balance supports Node’s form.

Hexagonal natural stones have a uniform geometric form on the outside, while inside each one carries its own distinct flow of color and pattern. Skilled artisans pick up each stone by hand and, while checking how the light falls on it, search for the angle that shows it at its most beautiful. In this way, the unique character of each stone quietly comes to life.

By minimizing the connection points that support the natural stone, we bring out the stone’s own presence. Its color, pattern, and shifting light. With fewer obstacles in the way, you can enjoy the appeal of natural stone from a variety of angles.

The subtle variations created by skilled handcraftsmanship

Natural stones, each carefully cut and polished by the hands of a craftsman with over 60 years of experience. Subtle variations created by the traditional "te-zuri" technique, passed down since the Edo period. Unlike the uniformity of industrial products, the delicate character that only human hands can create lives within each stone.

Engraving on the ring

・Up to 20 half-width characters can be engraved on the inside of the ring.
・Supported characters: alphabet letters and numbers only. ※ Kanji, hiragana, and katakana are not accepted.
・Half-width spaces and symbols are counted toward the character limit.
・Symbols such as hearts are treated as full-width and therefore count as two half-width characters.
・Please refer to the engraving content entry field for the list of engravable symbols.
・You cannot choose the font.
・We do not proofread or correct engraving content in any way. Any errors in the inscription are the purchaser’s responsibility. Please understand this in advance.
・Because the engraving will be very small, using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS improves legibility.
