On Sunday, May 25th, coinciding with the Atelier Open Day, a special pop-up sale of baked goods by the rice flour-based confectionery brand La fille de FAL has been confirmed. The atelier will feature rice flour baked treats carefully crafted one by one in a workshop on Awaji Island, including the brand’s signature pound cake "Quatre-Quarts / Cacao" and charmingly round madeleines.
La fille de FAL's baked sweets have such a moist texture that you wouldn't notice they are made with rice flour. Instead of granulated sugar, they use brown sugar, which adds a gentle sweetness that spreads softly in your mouth with every bite. The high level of craftsmanship always amazes me. (And I end up eating too much...)
A simple eat-in space (4 seats) will also be available on the day. You can enjoy delicious baked sweets along with coffee or tea. Please take this opportunity to indulge yourself.

After graduating from a high school affiliated with a culinary vocational school, specializing in confectionery, I was in charge of manufacturing and selling baked goods at the popular confectionery shop Shinonome in Kuramae, Tokyo. Driven by the desire to create sweets that my mother, who has a wheat allergy, can enjoy with peace of mind, I began making confections centered around rice flour. In April 2024, I launched the baked goods brand "La fille de FAL," which uses rice flour as its main ingredient.
